Good news on my weight

I went to the doctor (note I have health insurance it's my mother that doesn't)

I've been having having degistive issues.

I asked him how much I lost since Fed 09 he said about 40 pounds.

So I finally have a number to tell people when they ask about my weight loss.

Cursed Trailer?

My family owns a large piece of land where we built a house on after we lost our own home. The good thing ids that is big enough to allow several trailers to live on and pay rent to us. The person who use to live in one of the main trailers was my 300 pound welfare mother sister and her fuck brain husband who lived their with their neglected daughter who is more than likely going to run off the the first boy who looks at her.

I do not like my sister she ran off to Florida when I was a baby saying she was going to see the fireworks and came back 5 years later with my poor mother worried sick about her. Then she got pregnant with a child molester(not her current fuck brain husband) I guess I can give her credit for not marrying a child molester.

She finally moved back to Alabama she lived in several places before my parents let them stay on our land. They only had a two hundred dollar a month rent which they only paid once during their two year stay and we tried to make them pay their water bill which they refused and after doing all that her fuck brain husband complained to the neighbors about it.

I am sorry Dear sister that you are not getting a free ride from your elderly disabled parents maybe you should get off your 40 year old ass and get a degree and stop drawing welfare which you do not need.

My brother who wants nothing to do with her said that if our parents died he would kick them out because the land went to him it's in my name now though.

They finally left after we put our foot down after our financial crises and complained about our house we were building and why we didn't build one for them!

There gone now and do not speak to us much. The people who live in that trailer now pay rent. They are nice, but I do not like the man who lives their he recently had a baby with a married women who he is now living with and before that he was married to a 16 year old he got pregnant. He is nice, but I do not feel comfortable around him.

I was handing mail to him today and I noticed it said 'The Georgia department of labor'

"Do you work in Georgia" I asked

"I use to" he answered

I looked at the trailer and thought is that thing cursed to have everyone that lives their responsible of welfare fraud.

He works at pizza hut and has been getting TWO Georgia checks a week for a year and guess what their is another man that lives on our land in a camper who pays no rent like my sister. This makes me angry my father promised me soon that nobody would live here for free, but I think to myself, but why our they doing it now.

Conversation between an athiest and a christian-The forgiveness trap

Christian: Are you an atheist?

Atheist: Yes.

Christian: You are just denying God to avoid admitting your sins and facing punishment.

Atheist: Is that what you think?

Christian:It is the nature of the dark to avoid the light exposing all the darkness sins and problems in your life, but only through the healing of Jesus can you admit your mistakes and be forgiven in his name.

Atheist: Will God forgive mine and anyone Else's mistakes no matter how bad?

Christian:Yes, Gods love is unlimited. He makes people feel convicted and face punishment for their mistakes. Their have been many criminals who admitted their crimes after accepting Jesus as their savior.

Atheist:If a man broke into a mother and baby's house and killed the baby and raped the mother would she forgive him?

Christian: What! That is completely out of nowhere we were discussing Gods forgiveness not mans which is limited and hard to do on their own.

Atheist: No, my question is not out of nowhere and is related to the forgiveness. Which you will find out when you answer.

(Christian realized that the Atheist is trying to lead him into a trap and words the answer very carefully.)

Christian:No,she would not forgive a crime that barbaric is impossible for humans to forgive, but with God's love she can overcome the pain and heartbreak of the crime.

(Atheist responds in a softer voice)

Atheist: Would her husband forgive him?

(The Christian and Atheist our both husbands and fathers)

Christian:Of, course not he would need the same healing as his wife before him.

Atheist: Would the jury or judge forgive him?

Christian: It is not the jury and judges place to forgive only to judge and hand out punishment. They were not victims so they are to in the place to forgive him. The punishment should of course be the death.

Atheist: Would God forgive him?

(Christian pauses and thinks very carefully before responding)

Christian: Yes, God would forgive, but that would not make his crime any worse in fact it would give him greater guilt if he accepted Jesus as his savior because it would reveal the sin in greater detail and realize the horrible things he did to another one of God's creation. It would humble him and feel him with greater guilt which will cause him to confess and accept full punishment for his crime. Which if their is justice will be execution.

(Atheist springs trap)

Atheist: And after his death he will live in eternal paradise with no guilt or punishment for the rest of eternity.

Christian: That's out of context!

Atheist: No, it is not if he had not accepted Christ as his savior he would be facing eternal punishment in contrast with eternal paradise. You said the only one who would have forgiven him and given him eternal paradise. I argue that God only gave him guilt which seems like a slap on the wrist to eternal paradise by admitting his sin. God's forgiveness is a get out of jail card! in contrast if the victim family were Muslims,Hindus or Buddhist they will be facing eternal punishment! Just for having the wrong religion.

Job Search and the future.

I have two more years until a graduate and it feels like I keep changing my career options every week.Right now I am thinking of becoming a nurse because it seems to offer good pay and job security.

The most important reason though is because of the Global nursing shortage this could be the way to reach one of my major life's goals to get the HELL out of the U.S.A.

I change my mind so often before I wanted to be a computer tech before I learned there was hardly any money in it. A wise man told be a needed to get a career not a job. A know what he means by that he gave me a lot of good advice of career choices. I came to him for advice about the tech industry and he gave me more general advice and two books the 'The seeds of Greatness' and one by James Web. He did not tell me what career or industry to go into but I could tell he was heavily implying medical.

My Papa said I would make a good nurse because it is very hard for me to get attached to people, but I wonder if that is really a good quality for a nurse they say caring for people is what gets you through the job.

But what a lot of people do not know when know one is looking I can start crying at a drop of the hat and it's hard for me watch or hear violence of tragic stories. I just hold it in a lot more compared to most girls by age. I think this makes me come across as cold and detached to most people.

I think nursing would be good I do not want children and marriage or realtionships hve never intersted me and I always disliked the drama associated with them.So I could focus on my career more and move up faster than most women. Besides how many men out their want marriage or a realtionship without children.

Of course I could just change by mind tomorrow and decied to be a cowgirl!

Aww the mind of a young woman you got them figured out and the can change everything in a breeze. It confuses men, but it confuses the women themselves the most.

My mom is awesome

I asked my mother for an IUD for when I started dating. She was a little nervous, but she agreed to it with no fight or argument. She actually wanted me to get the birth control shot because she had a bad experience with one when she younger and they were pretty unsafe. They are much better now and this form of birth control is the best for I believe from all the research I have done, because it is so discrete especially since I go to small christian school.

If this got out in small town the old church folk would be gossiping like nothing else. It is not like teenagers do not have sex, drink or party here. It's just that there parents turn a blind eye to it and do not want to talk about and I overheard a girl my age complaining the a while back about having to miss church to go to Birmingham for the morning after pill! This was before the morning after pill could be sold over the counter to girls seventeen or up.The reason why it was not sold earlier is because of the Christian right.

I truly believe the Christian Right causes more abortions in this country by censoring sex education and blocking contraception for students and low income families than the Agnostic left could ever dream about.

Interestingly, Alabama and the rest of the south has one of the highest teen pregnancies in the U.S.A.

When is the South going to realize putting a Bible between a girls legs is just not as effective as a condom.

My family lost our house paying for medical bills and we only survived due to the kindness of a friend' We paid insurance company for years for it,but when my moher fell ill due to the horrible conditions at her job they refused to give her money and tried to blocked her from getting disablity and black listed other insurance companies from taking her.

Yes, the big bad government is totally destroying those poor insurance vampiric companies rights. We have to wait two years for her to get medicare and the rest of the family is praying nothing happens to her except me because I do not believe in God. I hear the other poor people telling stories of their friends and family dieing without insurandce

I despise my government and all that it has become.This has never been the land of the free the indians and slaves all testify to it. The people are morons and the politicans are whores for the insurance companies.

Being an American is an accident for me it is not an accomplishment or something to take pride in. The USA is just the place where I happened to be born it would be no different if I was born in Canada,Egypt,South Africa,Russia or South Korea.In my mind it is no different than me being proud of being blonde or brown eyed.

I remember watching about a report on racial profiling of Arabs and Muslims. I am against racial profiling or religious profiling. They had several Muslim families on their both native born and naturalized Americans as they talk about the discrimination they faced and one thing they said as that they where all proud Americans despite being Muslims even though it was clear they had many bad experiences here.

I have notice atheists doing the exact same thing where in interviews they will say along with having 'good old' traditional values and they are proud Americans just like the Christians like Christians are some how the moral standard just for being Christians. Even in place where they have lost their jobs and faced serious discrimination.

I know very well from both online and face to face that most religious and racial minorities are very critical of the USA. Yet why do we put up this facade of being wonderful traditional patriotic Americans.

I think we need to stop this because what we are realy doing is apologizing for not being White Christians. Where just bullshiting lies about how many of us truly feel about this country and politics.

Think about it so many Christians want to have all the Muslims and Arabs racially profiled. I wondered what would happen if their was a law that said Christians would not be allowed to own guns because of George Tiller. They would be up in arms over that, I always found it interesting that so many Christians are pro-gun despite it being pretty damn clear in the Bible, Jesus was a pacifist.

I guess their just continuing with the old religious tradition of only sectioning parts of the teachings you like and to hell with all the rest.

Back on patriotism I believe the Olympics is just a replacement for a world war with slightly less blood shed. Ever notice how most countries where patriotism is not common at all is flag waving at sport events like Canada and Germany.

Me being an American is an accident it is nothing to be proud of and I think it only divides people more.

I would never die for my country. I would die to protect my family and friends but not my country.

Republics only last about 200 years anyway.

The Mutaween are Care bear villians

The Mutaween the wonderful moral guardians of Saudi Arabia ,who in their great wisdom granted by Allah allowed schoolgirls to burn alive because they were not wearing the burqa, has banned the selling of flowers, candy and even the color red which has caused a black market to develop around them. In order to prevent immorality from the west because all things western are EVIL!

Doesn't this sound like a care bears plot. Think about it you have these villains they don't want to take over the world or kill anybody, but they want to stop the spreading of love and joy for some dumb ass reason. So they get rid of the girly or cute stuff. Just like the they are doing only it's not as harmless and is just head smacking.

It's up to the care bears to go to The Kingdom and spread messages of loving everybody and tolerance, but of coarse being fanatics that the Mutaween are the care bears would most likely be stoned to death.

Apparantly, the Mutaween wants women to cover up when visiting the zoo on family days because the male ANIMALS might see them. Are they going to start forcing they the female animals to veil in Saudi Arabia as well. That's the image of the year.

Hell has frozen over in Alabama

Yesterday, it snowed in the state so badly that I didn't go to school. I'm getting a 5 day weekand so I'm not complaning.

My Dad got a pig for and I'm not kidding he's a cute little thing too bad we're going to kill and eat him in a year. My mother was horrified by the fact my Dad named him, she doesn't think it's right to name something we're going eat.

Naturalism a wonderless view?

One thing that theists seem to accuse me of is that because of my lack of belief in the supernatural and belief in only proven things and my personal philosophy of questioning everything means I must have a boring and unimaginative worldview.

They tell me because I don't believe in a God I have a hollow existence and I'm only limited to the physical world means I have no purchase and that my view is extremely limiting and narrow.I'm also told that it is extremely pessimistic, because I view humans as animals and their is no way we can rise above it to be something great or good.

This is a ridiculous statement and I will tell you why.

First,I argue that it is the religious view not the naturalist view that is limiting. In a religious view you are limited to books,scriptures and priest that you are not allowed to question and many times they contract one another. Can you imagine what they world would be like if the never questioned anything? What if people never questioned slavery was wrong? Racism,sexism,rape and child exploitation if we never questioned them they would have never been seen as immoral.

I would like to point out that many religious texts teach that these thing are O.K and even give instructions or advice on how to do it.

In contrast the naturalistic worldview encourages constant questioning and exploring.This view is far from narrow because their are an endless amount of things to learn, things to explore and discover and endless ways to see the world. We know far more than we did one hundred years ago or ten years ago. We will also know more in ten or one hundred years. It is a constantly expanding view and far from narrow.

Is a naturalist worldview pessimistic compared to to a religious. After all according to naturalism where just a bunch of animals.

Wrong!

As a girl who loves and hangs around animals more than people.I would say a lot of times I feel like they have more sense than most people but, I'll discuss this another time.I don't understand why religious people seem to be so insulted by being related to animals and not being created in the image of the divine creator. It seems stuck up to me.Is it really that evil to be related to animal we're made a living off them for thousands of years and they provide good companions.

Scientist have called dolphins non-human people and test have shown morality to be found in many animals according to research and people who work closely with animals.

If you have read the New Testament you will discover that the Biblical God murders thousands and orders the Hebrews to committed genocide against innocent tribes. Remember in Exodus when he murder the Egyptian children for what the Pharaoh did.

I would be far more honored to be related to common house cat than I would to that tyrant.

All religion follows the same pattern their is something wrong with being human and that religion shows the way to be right and moral. We can only become good by an outside source.

I guess it fits with human nature we don't want to take responsibility for our actions so we look for an outside source to blame. That is the source of our devils and demons so we can blame something else instead of confronting our nature head on and trying to solve it.

Religion is a pessimistic worldview because it says humanity can only be moral or saved by an outside source.This has not worked one the thousand of empires and kingdoms founded on faith where their has been so much corruption and injustice. If religion could build a paradise it would have done so already it has been given many opportunities and has failed every time.

We need to stopped thinking an outside force is going to save us. In the end we are all responsible for ourselves and for other people.

Every force in human history is because of human action both good and bad.

In the end we are our own Gods and devils.

Alabama-The heart of stupidity

The Heart of Dixie and the state where I was born and raised, Alabama is when it comes to looks and rural area can be paradise on earth, but when you count in poltics, education and fundamentalism you are looking at one of the most backwater places in the U.S.A and the developed western world.

One of the highest in the nation. I hear the oldest people in this state saying absolute stupid things everyday. They have no idea about the political, social or religious climate outside the American South. During the election I had to try to tell people that Obama was not a Muslim and that not all Arabs and Muslims are terrorists. A lot of them just want to live their lives like everyone else. They just rolled their eyes at me, Like I'm an idiot.

I'm I terrible speaker so I am bad at arguments and more often than not am to shy to speak, because of the pacifism my parents raised me with. When people come over I have to go into another room with just to not scream when she discusses politics. I feel like I'm trapped in a sea of ignorance

Alabama one of the poorest states in the Union supports complete free market and little social programs. If the Alabama people only truly understood the economic systems instead of blindly listening to politicans quoting the Bible and wearing patronism on their sleeves and actually looked at the political climate in Europe and Canada and get rid of that cold war propaganda memories would discover that the free market hurts them.

The complete free market keeps the working class ,the backbone of Alabama, losing jobs by giving them to India and China. It gives workers terrible benefits and does not provide the insurance most Alabamians need. It keeps the the poor and working class in lower positions with pure social Darwinism. Constantly keeping the children of the wealthy ahead of the poor by not giving them benefits for college or decent insurance.

Speaking of Health Insurance most Alabamians are against the 'commie system of universal health care' despite the fact every single developed western nation except the U.S.A has it and if you call the Universal health care systems 'commie' that means are military and road service are 'commie' as well, but I don't see the conservative trying to get rid of that.

But then again I guess the radical conservatives need that the military to rape Middle Eastern nations for oil instead of taking care of their own people. Alabamians have some of the worst private insurance in the country especially the poor, because the companies will drop you like a rock, because they know you're to poor to do anything to them.

I know it happened to my family. How is this democracy and a free country?

They watch faux news and believe the death panel crap. You would think a state in such bad shape would want more progressive policies, but know they scream 'commie' at it and half they time the don't know what communism and socialism is. I know they call me one all the time and when I quizzed them and what it means they can't explain it formally.

I'm personally I social democrat/Center-left by international political scale and disagree with the far left as much as I do with the far right.

On Religion, Alabama is a fundie state. You can not buy a sex toy in this state, but you can practically by a gun in a dollar store. The average Alabamian man is more likely to vote to protect his guns than the education of his children.

Here Christian means Good person. If you're not one to hell with you! I heard extremely cruel things said about an atheist women that had cancer I wanted to come out and scream my heathenism to the world, but kept my mouth shut. It was my parents saying these cruel things and we're the 'evil atheist' are the bad guys.

I wonder if they know that atheists make less than one percent of the prison population. I wonder if they knew that most secular nations that have a wiling atheist populations have lower crime and unemployment rates and higher marks in class.

Yes, I am angered by the red necked nature of my state and the ignorance of economics,religion and social problems. I know far more about the economy, poltics and history than most adults in this state. What's worse their seems to be a pride about this 'ignorance' like their somehow genuine and more american than all the others.
